I have returned from the remarkable 2015 Marcella Summit: A convening on the Blessed Alliance, May 1-3 at the Retreat at Balcones Springs, Austin,TX. Carolyn Custis James gave a remarkable talk on Boaz. God providentially cancelled out all effects of my bad sore throat for my two sessions on Saturday. I believe it was my most effective public speaking ever, with excellent audience interaction. Jackie Roese’s animated question-answer format was outstanding for addressing the key issues regarding Ephesians 5, 1 Timothy 2-3, and 1 Corinthians 11:2-16. Not until my sessions were over did my symptoms resume, and ever since Sunday I have been unable to speak at all. On Monday I was diagoned with Sinusitis, Laryngitis, and Bronchitis, for which I am now taking antibiotics. I am in awe at how God shines through our weaknesses.
